A digital premiere

Dear readers:

The Corona virus forced nearly all companies to speed up the process of their digital transformation. The upheavals in everyday work routines in the spring of 2020 resulted in major changes, also in our industry. In addition to more work done from home and utilization of digital conference tools for meeting purposes, the event sector is especially affected. Most major events were cancelled in recent months. But events in B2B marketing for initiating or cultivating business relations are enjoying high priority and therefore it must have been good news for everyone that FBF Betondienst rose to the challenge by transforming the 65th BetonTage into digital format.

From 23 to 26 February 2021 the specialized congress celebrated its premiere as virtual event. Around 500 participants used the platform daily to acquire new technical knowledge from the lectures and to visit the virtual exhibition. More than 120 speakers – from universities, research institutes, manufacturing plants, the supplier industry, from planning and architectural firms as well as contracting companies of the construction industries – ensured a varied technical program. Our BFT Café in digital format was also present and we, of course, again this year as official medium partner of the BetonTage. You will find a detailed review on page 6-11. I wish you much enjoyment in reading this issue.
